The first thing when we sell you a chuck is to make sure that your new chuck is going to meet your requirements.
Whether you need a Dewalt Chuck, Makita Chuck, Bosch Chuck or a Chuck for a B&Q power tool. We have Chucks to meet any budget based on the amount of use they will need to do and the accuracy that your Chuck needs to meet. Not all Chucks are the same and putting a really heavy duty Chuck on a machine with low quality bearings etc can actually make the drill perform less well.
So before we sell a Chuck and certainly before you buy a Chuck forget about whether you want a Jacobs Chuck, Rohm Chuck, Porta Chuck or just any cheap chuck you think will do.
If your power tool has hammer action then the choice of Chuck becomes very important. Believe it or not many manufacturers of power tools sell machines that have a hammer action capable Chuck even though the machine does. If you own a B&Q, Titan, Screwfix, Performance Power, MacAllister, or other store sold drill stand you will probably have a keyed b16 taper chuck. For these machines we recommend the Porta general duty keyed 13mm chuck. If you have a larger 16mm drill stand then we offer the same quality Chuck but in the larger capacity.
If you brought a cheap cordless drill and need to replace the chuck why not spend a little bit more on a new Chuck that you can then fit on the next drill you buy. Lets be honest the quality of factory fitted Chucks is appalling. A quality chuck will last for 10 years, in that time you will probably 3 cheap cordless drills all with poor chucks. Go on treat your self make every job a little bit easier with a good quality chuck. Stop bits getting caught between the jaws, falling out, getting jammed and wobbling.
